By the way...

I PASSED MY FIRST LICENSING TEST!!! This insurance test was for property and casualty and it was stinking hard! It took me two times to get it though because I failed the first time I took it by 2% points! You need a 70% to pass the test and I got a 68%. I wasn't too upset though because there are TONS of people who have to take the test 4 or 5 times to pass. I went back after studying my butt off for a week and passed with flying colors. So, now I am licensed to sell auto and property insurance, and I will go back in about a month for a life and health test. I will be glad when all of the test taking is over!

New Computer...

Well,the time finally came for Dave and I to upgrade our computer. Our first one was one that we got in California and it has lasted us for three years. But lately it has really started to give us some problems, so we decided to UPGRADE! Technically the old computer still works, and it has all of Dave's school programs on it, so we are still going to keep it and use it as a back up. So, we decided to get a lap top. And let me tell you, it is AWESOME! I am using it to type this post, and it is awesome to sit on the couch and watch a movie while blogging. And Dave loves it because its a new toy ( of course) and I love it because it is just so fun. Good times.. =)

Bare Minerals... =)

Ok, So I just have to put in a little plug for the make-up that I loooove so much. I have been using Bare Minerals now for about 3 years, and I just love it. It goes on sooo smoothly and blends in so well on your face that it doesn't look "caked" on. I know its a little pricey, but trust me, its totally worth it. I consider it an investment because 1. It makes me happy to do my make-up in the morning. 2. One container of foundation lasts me OVER 2 months. 3. It hides blemishes like you would not believe! Its been a while...

Sorry its been so long since I posted last. A lot has been going on that has kept me very busy. I have been working at my job for a month now and I love it! There is a lot to learn but I am really enjoying the challenge. Right now I am studying for my licensing tests so that has kept me VERY busy. I have to take two tests and I think that I am ready to take the first one this week, so keep your fingers crossed for me! As for Dave, he is still plugging away at school. But we recently received some very exciting news for him. He was offered a job at a company in York called GEA/PHE. They are based out of Germany and he will be a drafter there. It is VERY exciting because with the economy the way it is, we were not sure if he would be able to find anything. But he did, and we are both very happy and relieved. Sorry I have no new pictures to post. I have no time to even remember my camera when we go places. I will post a less boring update soon!

The most exciting news....

I got a JOB!!!!!!!!

I received a job offer today from and interview that I had with a local State Farm office to be a financial services and insurance representative. YAHOOO!!! I am so excited because this is just the job I wanted. The office is small, but the people are so nice and it is really close to my apartment. I could NOT have gotten this job with out the KILLER recommendations I was given by my dear friends Sarah Coy and Brother Toone. Thank you to all of you who helped me out during this search and kept me in your prayers. I will be forever grateful!

My so called pinky...

So in my previous post I talked about how funky looking my pinky finger is, and how EVERYONE makes fun of it. Soooo tonight I just about freaked out when I saw my nephews pinky finger and it is crooked just like mine!!! I thought I was the only one in the family with a wonky pinky, but now I have Spencer in my club!!! Look at those! Almost exactly the same!

The Vet

We were finally able to take the dogs to the vet last week. I was kinda nervous taking in two dogs, but the vet was so nice and handled them very well. It was a relief to finally get them caught up on their shots.

The best present...

My pinky finger is so embarrassing. *sigh* Everyone makes fun of it... Its just a little shorter than most people's pinky fingers. Its special. I have been told it looks like a baby carrot. How sad...

For Valentines day this year Dave TOTALLy surprised me with a new wedding ring. When we got married we could only afford a plain band for me, and ever since then Dave has wanted to buy me a nicer ring. So he surprised me with this one. And it is exactly what I would have picked for myself.

Valentines Day

This year was a great Valentines Day. Dave and I were able to get a new bed!!!! It was so exciting! We had been saving our money and sleeping on the smallest little full sized bed you have ever seen so when we finally had enough money to get a new one, we were thrilled! Our old bed was a hand me down from some friends in Cali. and we have been using it for almost 3 years. It had pieces of the boxspring sticking through the top, springs poking out the bottom, and it literally MOANED at us anytime we layed down. It was horrible. So, we upgraded. WE got a queen sized Sealy Posturpedic pillow top set at an amazing price and I looove it. And it is almost 4 feet tall so I feel like a queen sleeping in it. =) Too bad none of my queen sized comforters fit it.

My project...

Lindsay and I thought it would be a great idea to paint the walls in our apartments. So we went together and bought the paint and all of the supplies. I only painted two accent walls, but I think that they turned out really good. I have plans to paint the other walls a nice warm tannish color, but haven't gotten to that yet.

25 Things.... sort of...

I thought it would be fun to list 25 things that people may not know about me.  I have seen this on other blogs and they are always so fun to read, so here goes...

1. I LOVE chap stick.  My favorite is Burt's Bees and I got 5 tubes of it for Christmas.  I always have it on me.  

2. I love to read.  My favorite books to read are suspense novels and I really enjoy reading Dean Koontz and James Patterson.  They are my favorite! 

3. I can not sleep at night if the sheet on the bed has come up on one corner.  It seriously stresses me out! If it is on Dave's side he will always get up and fix it for me because he knows I will WIG out BIG TIME if he doesn't. 

4. My favorite fast food place to eat is Taco Bell.  I love everything that they make.  Anytime, day or night, and I am game for a Taco Bell run.  Sooooo good!

5. My hair is naturally curly, but since I discovered the wonders of a hair straightener in high school,  I have been wearing it straight. Thanks to Brianna and Heather for showing me this.  

6. I have two dogs.  Once is a lab mix named Clark, and the other is a jack russell named Daisy.  They drive me nuts, but I love them to death. 

7. I am obsessed with looking at my finances.  I will check my bank account on-line 3 or 4 times a day.  I don't know what I am expecting to see, but I do it anyways. 

8. I lived in Utah for 2 or 3 years and while I was there I had the best roommates.  I still keep in touch with my friend Emily and I love her to death.  My other roommate died in a car accident and I think about her all the time.  I had such a great time with all of them. 

9. I have never been stung by a bee.  Ever! Can you believe that?? 

10. MY favorite bands are Coldplay and Third Eye Blind.  I could listen to them all the time. 

11. I am very close to my family, specifically to my sisters, sister in-law, and of course my mom. I see them SEVERAL times through out the week and I love it.  They are more than family, they are like my best friends. 

12. My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years and for the first year of our marriage we lived in California.  It was a blast! Now we are back in PA which is also nice because we are close to both of our families.

13. I love watching movies that take place during different time periods. Like the new Marie Antionette, The Other Bolelyn Girl, and The Duchess.  But I also love Pride and Prejudice and Atonement.  But I don't really care for movies that take place in the future.  Its too Star Trek nerdy for me. =)

14.  I am very sarcastic.  Anyone who knows me will know this.  I am also very quick witted. I will usually have some sort of witty sarcastic comment for anything you say.  

15. I am a fan of crude and stupid humor.  It just cracks me up.

16. Lately I have become a HUGE fan of guitar hero.  I feel like such a rock star when I am playing. 

17. Every year for my birthday my mom gets me a totally funny, and sometimes crude card and I love it.  I know that cards from her and worth saving.

18. I LOVE watching TV show box sets.  Ever since my husband and I have known eachother we have been watching box sets of TV shows that we like.  Sometimes we end up buying them, but we also rent them too.  We just recently finished a Showtime show Called Dexter, ( which I freaking LOVED! I was sad when I ran out of seasons to watch.  But there is a new one coming out soon, and I can NOT wait!) and now we are watching Nip Tuck.  I love it.  

19. MY favorite food to eat is mexican, and my favorite restaurants are Cafe Rio and Chipotle.  I am soooo sad that there is not a Cafe Rio around here.  For those of you from UTah, I am so jealous that you can go there when ever you want.  Chipotle is also awesome and they are finally putting one in close to here.  I can't wait! I am going there as soon as it opens, so let me know if any of you want to come a long. Yummmmy! 

20. I have been working in banking since I was 18 and I love it. I am really lucky to have found this career because it pays really well even if you don't have a degree.  

21. One of my best friends growing up committed suicide and I miss him terribly.  I think about him every day and it just breaks my heart. It was more than 10 years ago, but it still hurts.

22. I love to write letters and notes.  When my husband and I were dating I would leave notes at his apartment, and on his car every time we saw each other.  

23. I love art! I love going to art galleries and admiring the beautiful work.  My favorite art galleries are in Park City Utah which I first found with my friend Ang Meraklis. I went there all the time to walk around because it was a stress reliever for me. I also love hanging art in my house. 

24. I love to swim.  My Pap taught me to swim when I was 3 and since then I have not been able to stay away from the water.  I especially love the ocean.  The bigger the waves, the better.

25. I am TOTALLY afraid of walking over things that do not have bottoms to them.  Specifically storm grates in the sidewalks.  I just can not do it and I jump over them every time.  I freak out.  

Ok well I have one more, so this will actually be 26 things. Oh well...

26.  I hate being poked.  If I even think that some one is going to poke my sides, I jump.  And husband and brothers just think it is soooo dang funny to mess with me and poke my sides.  Most of the time they don't even touch me and I still jump really bad.  ITs crazy. 

Well, there you have it.  and going back through and reading all of that totally made me think that I am a crazy person.  Haha... I'm a nerd. =) 

UpDaTe

So, things for Dave and I are starting to look up.  I have a job interview coming up and my unemployment money FINALLY went through.  It only took me 8 weeks to get it though! So that really has helped us out a lot.  But for now I am keeping myself busy by working on projects around my apartment.  Cross your fingers for me that I get this job I am interviewing for!

Job Search '09

And the job search for me drags on for another 2 weeks. I have been looking all over the place a job and applying to lots of openings, but I still haven't heard back from anyone. I have never had this much trouble finding a job before. Please let me know if any of you out there have any suggestions for me. =(
